Let’s Talk About Snacks, Baby!
Let’s talk about SNACKS! What do you grab to refuel between meals or before/after a hard workout?
Here are some of our favorites:
Hard-boiled egg + spicy mustard + veggies (or crudite, if you’re fancy). During the week we invariably have a container of peeled hard-boiled eggs, ready to grab and another of carrots, celery and cucumber washed and sliced. It makes life so much easier to have these items prepped and available all week long.
Here is another standby – a whole wheat muffin with a shmear of peanut butter and a side of veggies (basically, the veg makes an appearance in all our different snack iterations).
Not to beat a dead horse but…we frequently have veggies and hummus. We splurged on a mini-food processor and it is a breeze to whip up dips these days.
